Larkspur Lodge Wedding Photography
This was my first wedding at Larkspur Lodge and what a wedding it was. I do love a cheshire wedding especially when it’s at a lovely venue. This place was perfect for Sam and Divij’s wedding. A candle lit ceremony with all their family and friends present. A champagne reception where all their guests congratulated them. Which was a big deal, as a lot of family had travelled over from India too see them be married. The lodge created the perfect atmosphere for the wedding breakfast. Allowing all the guests to see the top table and witness the speeches. Believe me I’ve been to lots of venues where people have been blocked from seeing the speeches, due to pillars being in the way or even having to sit in a different room. So it’s nice the lodge was so open and yet had a cosy little bar area for people to relax and get away, if all the excitement got a bit too much.
Photographs with the Bride and Groom
The weather wasn’t the best as we had rain showers all day. I kept an eye on it and we were able to nip out between showers to get the family group shots and couple wedding photographs. If I can I always try and have two separate mini shoots with the bride and groom. One after the group shots before the wedding breakfast. Then again later on just before the first dance. I always find the difference between the two shoots is huge. Earlier on the couple are more formal and conscious of whats going on and who they haven’t and have spoken to. Is everything running on time etc. Where as later on the bride and groom have relaxed they’ve had chance to chat to most people and are ready to spend some time with their partner as they realise they’ve hardly seen each other all. These images are always more relaxed and more enjoyable. So if you can always have the two mini sessions with your photographer.
