Claire & Phil’s Ashton Memorial Lancaster Wedding Photography
Well what an epic day this was!!!!! Claire and Phil I loved every second of your Ashton Memorial Lancaster Wedding Photography!
Claire and Phil are such an awesome couple. We got on so well from the first time we met, in the pub of course. Such a friendly laid back couple. They are perfect for one another. I couldn’t wait to Photograph their Ashton Memorial Wedding in Lancaster
On the Wedding Day I met Claire at Lancaster house hotel. She was getting ready with her bridesmaids and her parents of course. Dad managed to keep him self busy while the ladies were busy beautifying them selves. The Bridal preparations were very chilled and organised with a few cheeky glasses of bubbles. It would be rude not too, seen as Claire’s husband to be bought her a bottle. Claire’s flowers were delivered from the lovely team at Time4flowers. They were beautiful and exactly what Claire had imagined. There was no fancy Bentley for this Bride she did one better and had her beloved Mini which had had its own makeover especially for the day. Her Dad drove her to the ceremony, he even had the chauffeur hat.
The ceremony took place at the stunning Ashton Memorial. I Love Ashton Memorial Lancaster wedding Photography, it’s the perfect spot for some epic photographs. You couldn’t ask for more from a venue as a photographer. The architecture is beautiful and definitely has the wow factor as a backdrop. The interior doesn’t disappoint either the huge windows let in so much light. There’s nothing better than natural light. This is sometimes over looked when people book a wedding venue. If you like nice light airy photography then don’t book a castle wedding in the middle of winter. Your venue has so much to play in your final wedding look. Anyway back to Claire and Phil’s awesome Ashton Memorial Lancaster Wedding.
The ceremony was lovely, Claire and Phil just glowed with happiness which makes my job easy. After the ceremony we all hung around Ashton Memorial for some glasses of fizz and scones. Which meant the guests were kept busy while we went for a wonder round Williamson’s park. We even had a trip into the butterfly house. Although there weren’t many butterflies, at least it was a bit warmer in there! October weddings do tend to be a bit chilly. We were pretty lucky with nice dry weather though.
Off to the Reception
After a few group shots outside Ashton Memorial all the guests piled onto two coaches and started the journey up to Abbeystead to the Wyresdale Village Hall, I do love this venue, you can definitely put your own stamp on it, which is exactly what Claire and Phil did, they had flowers every where, throws incase you got cold in the marquee, so many cakes, and even a periodic personalised table plan and test tube shot’s as favours, a great personal touch.
The food, what can I say about the food……… it was amazing!!! They had the Hungry Gecko street food specialists put a menu together for them, there was food every where, I loved it, you can’t beat a bit of thai food in my opinion and such a great alternative to your normal wedding breakfast meal, everyone loved it.
To top the evening off we had fun with some sparklers, I do love a good sparkler shot.
Anyway don’t take my word for it, have a look at some of my favourites from Claire and Phil’s big day. Congratulations once again guys and thank you so much for having me along for the ride.
