A gorgeous Spring Forrest Hills Lancaster Wedding
A beautiful pastel themed Wedding at Lancaster’s show stopping Ashton Memorial and it’s hidden gem Forrest Hills Lancaster wedding venue.
I’d be looking forward to Amy and Chris’s wedding for so long, I knew from the moment we met it was going to be a beautiful relaxed wedding. Which suits my wedding photography style perfectly. I like to photograph weddings exactly as they unfold, thats exactly what I did for Amy and Chris’s wedding. Don’t get me wrong I do love to get beautiful show stopping Bride and Groom portraits that show the love and environment. But I also adore the small moments, that sometimes get missed but when you look back on them there the moments that make the wedding. There were lots of those moments at Amy & Chris’s wedding.
The day started with Bride and Groom preparations. As Chris was getting ready down the road from Amy I was able to pop on there and get a few shots of the groomsmen before heading over to Bridal preparations. The lads were all ready and looking very smart, while the ladies were busy getting hair and make up done in their funky dog sleepers. Which I loved by the way. Amy was very organised and was ready super early. So no mad rush at the end getting in the dress. I would suggest to always leave plenty of time to get in your dress. There’s nothing worse than being hot and rushed to get dressed, and then your poor mum bridesmaid has to remember how to get you in the dress and fastened up. Always leave plenty of time especially if you have buttons, they’re fiddly little things.
Ashton Memorial, Lancaster’s Wow wedding venue
I left Amy and the girls and made my way over to Williamson’s Park and the beautiful Ashton Memorial. I love this wedding venue. No matter how many weddings I’ve shot there everyone is always completely different and its makes me love the place even more. It’s definitely Lancaster’s most icon building and has the WOW factor.
After an awesome ceremony, we had time for some family group shots and some Bride and Groom portraits. With Ashton memorial as the epic backdrop. We did these while all the other guests made their way to the wedding reception venue Forrest Hills.
Forrest Hills, Lancaster Wedding Photography
Forrest Hills is also a wedding photographers dream. The quirky building, with its funky staircase and perfectly positioned little windows, its a venue that allows you add your own personal touches, which was perfect for Amy & Chris. The weather was lovely which meant people were able to use the patio outside over looking the beautiful lake. This lake is the perfect backdrop. After the meal and speeches we had some time put aside for Bride and Groom portraits before the evening guests arrived. I loved this time with Amy & Chris. They are such a lovely couple and are so happy and perfect for one another. I feel this love really comes across in their images.
