A Show Stopping Great Gatsby Themed Wedding in Austwick

When Eneshia contacted me, I was super excited to hear that she was getting married. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Eneshia and Johnny at quite a few weddings in the past. They’re the owners of Poppins Parties and Events. Venue dressers planning their own wedding!!!! I couldn’t wait to see what they had planned. It definitely didn’t disappoint. They teamed up with the awesome team at Red Floral Architecture for a show stopping Great Gatsby Themed wedding.

Austwick Village Hall Lancashire

Walking through the doors at Austwick village hall in Lancashire, no body knew what was in store. A marquee inside a village hall is a nice touch but what these guys had was something else. A huge collection of black and gold accessories. Gold candelabras, sequinned table clothes, hand tied draped chair covers. A mass of orchids and ostrich feathers in the huge center pieces, as well as hanging from the ceiling and all this under candle light. It really was a show stopper. In fact my favourite photographs from the whole day are of Eneshia’s and Johnny’s reactions to seeing the room all set up.

Obviously before seeing the Austwick Village Hall in all it’s Great Gatsby themed wedding glory, there was a small matter of getting married. The ceremony took place at Austwick Church. The Vicar had even come out of retirement for Eneshia. This meant a lot to her and made the ceremony very personal. Plus the place was rocking. Yes I mean Rocking!! The Gospel choir got everyone going. To the point no one wanted to leave, so they just danced at the end of the aisle.

New Years Eve Wedding

This wedding was that awesome I’ve forgotten to mention the small matter of it being on New Years Eve.  Which met the evening reception was even more exciting. I didn’t make it to midnight but I’m sure the sparkly dance floor was jam packed all night, especially with 24/7 a  lancashire wedding band playing. It was a pleasure as always to work along side Jon from Jon bird wedding films.
