You may or may not of heard of Hidden River Barn. It’s definitely a unique wedding venue. So if that’s what your looking for then Hidden River Barn might just be for you. If you have heard of it you’ll know how gorgeous it is. The location is truly hidden and stunning, set by the river in a secluded part of a private estate. If you haven’t been you need to add it to your list of possible venues for your Big Day.
So where is Hidden River Barn?
It’s in a secluded or hidden location in Cumbria on the edge of the Lake District. From the outside the barn doesn’t look too dissimilar to a normal farm barn until you get closer and see the stylish black framed windows and then something clicks this is going to be different. Rather than a stone barn it’s clad in timber with large windows that look over the river. A mezzanine level really opens up the interior, allowing guests to use the whole building without really feeling separated. So if you have those relatives that don’t want to miss out but need a sit down they can look down from the mezzanine onto the dancefloor.
Winter or Summer Wedding
I’m yet to photograph a wedding here in the summer but I imagine it would be just as beautiful as a winter wedding. Being able to use the outside decking area flinging those glass doors open. Making inside outside while over looking the river below. Enjoying your favourite tipple and munching on those amazing canapes in the sunshine. Meanwhile a Winter wedding at Hidden River Cabins is pretty bloody stunning. The warm welcoming atmosphere, the smell of the fire, the coziness of the mezzanine level. The wow factor of the ceremony room with its large glass floor to ceiling window, looking out to the wintery woods. Just Gorgeous.
I’ll stop talking about it now and let you have a nosy at Sammy and Josh’s beautiful February Winter Wedding. These two are teenage sweethearts and their little boy is just the cutest. I loved Sammy and Josh’s wedding and working with the awesome Abi from Orange Ivy Photography.
