Inn on the Lake in Ullswater is a show stopping wedding venue. The location right on the shore of Ullswater Lake in the Lake District is truly breath taking. Whether you’re planning a romantic elopement, ain intimate day or a show stopping grand affair. This venue could be the one for you. The gardens are perfect for a lovely stroll down to the lake shore. The piers make a perfect photography opportunity to get you even nearer to the water. The hills completely change the look of your photographs too, they can be covered in greenery, autumn colours and even snow, all look amazing.

Claire and Shays Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Shay and Claire had a truly beautiful Winter wedding at the Inn on the Lake Ullswater. Infact it was one of my favourite 2022 weddings. Claire and Shay planned an outdoor ceremony, which for a December was probably a big ask. But boy did we manage to pull it off. The weather was dry, the guests were wrapped up and everyone bloody loved it! They had the ceremony in Gardens of the Inn on the Lake with the gorgeous Ullswater lake in the background. Underneath the stunning lakeside pagoda. Claire and Shay’s little boy made the cutest little page boy and was so good through out this chilly outdoor ceremony and infact the whole day. Once the ceremony was finished everyone headed indoors for mulled wine and mince pies, perfect for a winter wedding. they quickly warmed everybody up.

Travelling to the Inn on the Lake Ullswater

A lot of Claire and Shay’s guest had never even been to the Lake District let a lone been to this lovely location at Ullswater. The drive over Kirk Stone pass can be a bit of an eye opener. Especially on a foggy day like we had. But so worth it when you drive through the fog and it opens up over the valley over the lake. It’s just gorgeous.
