This Lancashire Wedding was a year ago already!
They say time flies when your having fun! I can’t quite believe its been a whole year since this awesome Lancashire wedding!!!! On this very day last year the 15th September 2016 my sister Rachel became Mrs Birchall. As you can imagine I had quite a bit of involvement in helping to plan their wedding. I LOVED IT!!
A Busy Day
It was a very busy day for me. Not only did I have the honour of being Maid of honour, I was also their wedding photographer. My little girl who was 8 months old at the time was also her flower girl. As I needed to be in some of the photographs I had a second shooter with me. Ayesha from Ayesha Photography. I’m so glad Ayesha was available as it took some of the pressure off plus she’s awesome. I even roped my Dad into helping later on when Ayesha had left. He may make an assistant after all haha.
Choosing the right Lancashire Wedding Venue
So I recommended a few good Lancashire wedding venue’s that I have photographed at before. The Villa at Wrea Green ticked all of Rachel and Martin’s boxes. With the ability of being able to have the ceremony and wedding reception there. They had the whole place which meant there was no room changing needed. They got married in the ceremony suite and had the reception in the large marquee room. The marquee room is perfect if you like the idea of having a marquee but not so much the idea of it being ruined by bad weather. We were lucky though the weather was perfect. This meant everyone got to enjoy some canapé’s and drinks outside.
This Lancashire wedding reception was dressed perfectly by the Poppins Parties and events team and Chemonie who did the beautiful flowers on the tables and the bridal bouquets. It looked Stunning Ladies Thank you.
The Perfect way to Relax
We started off by picking Rachel’s Dress up from the lovely ladies at The Bridal Collection in Lancaster, I couldn’t recommend them enough, everything was perfect from start to finish. Then we stayed a few nights before the wedding in one of Ribby Hall’s awesome cabins. It felt like we were on holiday in the alps, enjoying the spa drinking fizz in the hot tub. It was the perfect way to relax before this Lancashire wedding got started.
We had the awesome Kerry Baker doing our makeup on the wedding morning. Kerry was brilliant so professional and well organised. She was brilliant with Rach as well, considering she was a bit emotional. Which I didn’t think she would be!
Dad had spent the morning out of the way cleaning his car ready to take Rachel over to The Villa at Wrea Green, where all the guests were patiently waiting. This is where the awesome Ayesha took over photographing the Ceremony. After an emotional ceremony. Well more emotional for my Dad than anyone else hah. That was it they were Mr & Mrs Birchall and it was time for some group shots and canapes.
The whole day was just perfect I could go on and on about how awesome it was, even better than our own wedding!!! Shhhh don’t tell the hubby I said that hah! They even had the awesome Ellie Sax to truly end the day perfectly. The Dance floor was full all night.
Here’s a slideshow just a few of my favourites as you can imagine there was quite a few! I’m in a few too, as is my beautiful little girl she was the only little one there. She really enjoyed her self as you’ll see.
