Leighton Hall Wedding

Sita and Dan’s Leighton Hall Wedding

Sita and Dan had the most fantastic Wedding at Leighton Hall near Carnforth. Infact it was my first time photographing a wedding at Leighton Hall, I’ve been as a guest but never to photograph, it was lovely. The Gardens are perfect for a photography backdrop, never mind a little stroll and place to sit while you sip your fizz, or in Sita and Dans case where their friends enjoyed the lawn games and played on the swings. The Hall it’s self has the wow factor while being homely and welcoming. Although Sita and Dan’s guests didn’t spend much time inside. The weather was glorious, which meant everyone stayed outside drinking and eating the lovely canapés.

The Marquee at Leighton Hall

Sita and Dan had quite a large guest list so they opted to have the Marquee at the back of Leighton Hall. Which worked perfectly it felt as though it was part of the main building and allowed everyone to enjoy a lovely meal and more importantly Dance the night away together, with glorious views across the fields at the back. We even had a beautiful sunset which obviously got me very excited. I love a bit of golden hour light it always helps to make images have that bit more of a pop. The sun rays and the warm glow, I mean who wouldn’t love that.

Ashton Memorial Ceremony

Before heading over to Leighton Hall Sita and Dan had their wedding ceremony at Lancaster’s most iconic building and favourite wedding spot, the beautiful Ashton Memorial. If you follow me on social media you’ll know I photograph a lot of wedding at Ashton memorial, also spend a lot of time there personally walking my dog Duke. We love it there. It’s a place that means a lot to a lot of people, so it’s lovely when I see people married there. Sita and Dans wedding ceremony was lovely. The guests got to have a wonder round the building afterwards to admire the views across the bay and have a glass of fizz, while we did some group photographs. That’s always a good idea give your guests a drink to distract them while we do a few group shots, you’ll find it keeps everyone happy.

The Styling

Sita had an idea in her head of exactly how she wanted to look and WOW did she look amazing. With her 1930’s vibe. The girls looked amazing. The lovely Natasha Archer finished off the look with the most gorgeous makeup. The bouquets Sita and her Bridesmaids made them selves, with flowers from the horse flower market, see what you think, I thought they did a good job. But the flowers at the venue really did look stunning Made in flowers  in Kendal dressed the marquee perfectly. We had one last surprise when Sita had an outfit change for the first dance, I won’t ruin the surprise have a look and enjoy …..
