So this is a bit of a different blog post for me. Family Photography has a very special place in my heart, you can never under estimate the power of a photograph. My love for photography probably came from my Dad as he always had a camera in hand. Whether that was a camera or video camera on his shoulder hah! At the time it used to really wind us up,” O Dad’s got his camera out again”. But now 30 years on those home videos, pictures are treasured possessions, especially by my Mum!! She loves a Sunday afternoon watching them and looking through all the old photographs. Even more so now we’re starting to create our own families.

Take more Family Photographs

Obviously I spend a lot of time taking photographs, but always for other people. I find it hard to find the time to photograph my own family. I’m determined to take more and more especially as little Connie is changing so quickly. In years to come Connie’s going to be saying “o Mums got her camera out again” but in 20 years time she will really appreciate it, just as I’m so glad my Dad did.

It’s a perfect time of year at the moment to get out and about and enjoy the outdoors, we spend a lot of time up at Williamson’s Park in Lancaster walking our dog Duke. It’s a prefect place to play relax and unwind after a busy day. A bonus for this time of year is of course Conkers. No body seems to pay much attention to them like we used too but we’ve introduced Connie and she loved it. OK so she might be a little young to play conkers but she loved collecting them and they are working wonders round my house at keeping the spiders away, so WIN WIN!!

I know I will treasure these photographs as I do already.
