A perfect Stanley House Wedding for Elizabeth and Andy

Wow what a wedding!!!! Elizabeth and Andy had the perfect Stanley House Wedding in June this year. I knew I was in for some fun with these two, as soon as soon as we set eyes on each other over skype all those months before. Elizabeth had enquired with me about her wedding date and had a few more questions. It wasn’t possible to meet up in person. A skype chat is the next best thing and we hit it off straight away. It’s so important you get a long with your wedding photographer as believe it or not you do spend quite a bit of time with them on your Big Day.

Getting Ready

I joined Elizabeth and her Bridesmaids at her parents house in Garstang. I do love this part of the day. All the excitement, the fizz is flowing, quality girlie time before the day gets going. Elizabeth’s bridal preparations were very laid back and organised. With lots of presents for her bridesmaids.

St Mary & Micheal’s Church Ceremony

After a lovely relaxed morning Elizabeth headed over to the ceremony venue in a vintage Mercedes with her Dad. I was patently waiting for them to arrive. I like to get to the ceremony before the Bride to make sure I am there for her arrival so this normally means leaving the bridal preparations a good 20 minutes before the Bride. So if you really wanted a photograph of you ready and leaving your family home then this is something to factor into your timetable when your planning your timings for the day.

The ceremony was just what Elizabeth and Andy wanted. St Mary and Micheal’s is Elizabeth’s family church so it meant a lot to them to be able to get married there. Her brother even rang the church bells as they were leaving, a nice personal touch I thought. These small things can make a large wedding become very intimate and thoughtful. Luckily the sun was shining as we left church which meant guests could enjoy the sunshine and congratulate the happy couple as they left church. We had time for some group shots at the church before my favourite part the Confetti, as they left to start their Stanley House Wedding reception.

Stanley House Wedding Reception

Stanley House is a fantastic wedding venue, especially if you want your guests to be able to stay over. They have lots of lovely guests room and lets not forget the awesome spa, perfect for all those hangovers the next day. As the weather was so nice guests were able to go outside and enjoy a few drinks outside in the gardens. This is the perfect time for me to photograph all those candid natural moments. It also gives me time to go and photograph the wedding breakfast room. All the effort you’ve put in to having it exactly how you imagined. I always make sure I photograph every little detail. The centre pieces, favours, personal items, table settings etc.
