A gorgeous Wedding for an awesome couple. For this wedding I ventured out of Lancashire and across to Cumbria, which is basically on my door step. The Swan Hotel, Newby Bridge wedding was my first time photographing at this beautiful Lake District Wedding venue. I always love photographing weddings in the Lake District even more so when it’s at a venue like The Swan Hotel. I’ve spent many weekends as a child up at Newby Bridge feeding the ducks having lunch outside The Swan Hotel. It was lovely to see the place is still just as busy and duck friendly haha. The recent make over at The Swan Hotel took my breath away. The interior is beautiful so well put together. You can always tell when a venue has been designed professionally and this wedding venue definitely has. Keeping the county theme while being bright and colourful, perfect for a summer wedding colour scheme.
The Love Nest at The Swan Hotel, Newby Bridge
I was working alongside Mr Jon Bird for his wedding. We both joined Sarah for her bridal preparations at the Swan Hotel, Newby Bridge. She’s chosen the perfect place for her bridal preparations, The Love Nest. The room was amazing, well it was more of an apartment. The light bright decor was perfect for me as a photographer and for the hair and make up ladies. It’s important when you choose somewhere to get ready that there is some lovely natural light, especially if you like light naturally lit photographs.
The Ceremony
The Ceremony took place upstairs in The Swan Hotel. All the guests were patiently waiting for their Bride to arrive, none more so than the Groom Jordan. Sarah looked stunning walking down the aisle with her Father. The ceremony was short but sweet and filled with lots of laughter. After the ceremony everyone made their way outside to enjoy some canape’s and drinks by the lake. The Lake District weather was perfect for us for a change. The sun was out, the sunglasses were on, fizz in hand, it was safe to say everyone was enjoying them selves. While everyone was busy we took the Bride and Groom for a little walk amongst the long grass of the fields that the Love nest looks out over. I do love a bit of long grass it always look awesome in wedding photographs especially with a bit of sunlight which we were lucky to get. Before long it was time to head inside for some very funny speeches and lots of lovely food.
A massive Congratulations to Sarah and Jordan. I loved being apart of your beautiful Lake District Wedding. If you’re planning you wedding at The Swan Hotel, Newby Bridge please do get in touch, I can’t wait to hear all your plans.
